Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress. Her debut on screen was in her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for the Best actress. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her father is an theater instructor at one of Romania's top acting schools. She was awarded with the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 at the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors. She was chosen as a European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008.
