
Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25 1994 born on May 25, 1994, is an American retired artistic gymnast. She is also two-time Olympian. She was the captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, who won their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London, she won gold medals for the floor and team competitions along with the bronze medal for the balance beam, which made her the most decorated American gymnast to compete at the Games. She won a team gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have two consecutive gold medals in this event. Raisman also earned silver medals for individual all-around as well as the floor exercise. Raisman has silver medals from the individual all-around, as well as the floor exercise. She is also the two-time national champion in floor exercise (2012,2015), the 2012 champion national of balance beam, and a five-time gold medallist in all-around at national championships (silver and bronze in the years of 2010 and 2011 (2012), 2012 and 2015). Inducted into The International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
